Legacy Platform Pages
Some older KTransformers pages mention Ascend NPU, Intel xPU, ROCm, AMD BLIS, or old Docker/server paths. These pages should not be promoted as current public support until they match the current package and serving entries.
Current Policy
| Platform page type | Current status |
|---|---|
| Ascend NPU old tutorials | Not current support; do not advertise. |
| Intel xPU old tutorials | Not current support; do not advertise. |
| ROCm old tutorials | Legacy; do not advertise as current unless rewritten and validated. |
| AMD BLIS CPU path | Supported direction; needs AMD hardware validation before model-specific claims. |
Old Docker pages using ktransformers.local_chat | Legacy |
NPU and Intel xPU pages should stay out of current website navigation unless support is reintroduced in current code. AMD support should be documented as exact AMD model/method tuples after the AMD machine is available.
Revalidation Requirements
To upgrade a platform page, record:
- package versions
- exact hardware SKU
- model and checkpoint
- launch command
- smoke prompt and response
- throughput or profiling method if performance is claimed
- known failures and fallback behavior
Until then, link legacy pages only as historical context.
